Canasta - We Were Mixed Up

Begin 2007 prezen we de band Canasta al eens aan op dit weblog, toen naar aanleiding van hun EP Find The Time. En we kruipen opnieuw achter het toetsenbord om aardige woordjes over dit zestal jongens en meisjes uit Chicago te tikken. De reden daarvoor is namelijk dat de band vorig jaar met een alleraardigst remixalbum, We Were Mixed Up op de proppen kwam. In 19 nummers worden de 13 nummers van het, in 2006 verschenen album We Were Set Up onder handen genomen door 19 individuen of gezelschappen. En hoewel de remixers hier geen Diplo, Hot Chip of Mark Ronson heten kunnen we toch spreken van een geslaagd divers remixalbum, dat blijf boeien tot het eind!
