The Jedson Project is het solo project van de Noorse steelgitaar speler Øyvind Berekvam. De naam van dit pseudoniem ontleend zich aan Øyvind's eerste steelgitaar, inderdaad een Jedson. Een goedkoop, edoch efficient stuk hout welke ook door David Gilmour wordt bespeeld. Settled Down is een verzameling dromerige songs die doen denken aan Ry Cooder-achtige flarden soundscapes, zoals we die kennen van de door hem gecomponeerde soundtracks. Øyvind Berekvam heeft zijn sporen in de Noorse muziek scene meer dan verdient, zo speelde hij onder andere met Thomas Dybdahl maar ook met minder bekende namen als Monika Nordli, Olav Larsen en Hanne Sørvaag en zat hij in roemruchte bandjes als Stavanger Energi, Butti 49 en Preacherman's Daughter. Een aardige CV dachten wij zo. De 15 nummers van Settled Down waren te vinden op de site van NRK Urørt (een database van de Noorse publiek omroep voor nieuw Noors muzikaal talent). En hoewel de The Jedson Project account niet meer online is, werken de linkjes naar de nummers, zoals hieronder terug te vinden nog wel.
